A Strong Belief in Wellness:
For Ashley, overall wellness stems from finding the balance between the three main pillars of health: food, body, and mind. If you think of these three pillars of health as the three legs of a stool, without one leg, the stool cannot stand on its own. Your body, like the stool, cannot run efficiently without maintaining all three through proper nutrition; physical activity; stress management & sleeping patterns.
Ashley believes in the person as a whole and that they are 100% unique. This belief is why Ashley approaches each client as an individual and personalizes their approach to their wellness. It’s action along with education and awareness that encourages lifelong lifestyle changes, which is why Ashley fortifies the regular training and nutrition experience with a resourceful blog, a multitude of educational handouts and newsletters, as well as continual assessments of client progress.

Ashley has worked as a personal trainer for over 3 years in a variety of settings and with a diverse clientele. Ashley has been helping those around her reach their nutrition goals and change their lifestyles for what seems like forever! Even as a teen, Ashley was mindful of what she ate; understanding the nutritional benefits of what she put in her mouth. She used her knowledge to help others before she even dedicated her mid-20s to pursuing it as her career. It is her personal passion, experience with food, and her dedication to others that facilitates her success with her nutrition clients.

Personal:
Ashley is a native of the North Shore and has since been loyal to her Chicago area roots, vowing never to leave the great Midwest. She resides in the city with her husband of almost a year and their PAWS puppy, Arthur. On any given day you can find her perusing the produce at Whole Foods or the Chicago French Market, blogging at a local Starbucks, or sweating to her iPod in the gym.
Her favorite time is spent with her husband cooking at home and relaxing, traveling with family, reading just about anything, writing for work and pleasure; or singing a great show-tune. For Ashley, it’s great health and the simple things in life that make it worth living!
Currently, Ashley is organizing her upcoming yearlong quest to find optimal wellness based on its 8 main dimensions, including: physical, social, intellectual, environmental, occupational, financial, and spiritual wellness. Ashley will be devoting 6 weeks to each individual dimension trying to figure out its particular significance in her own life, how to personally perfect that area of her wellbeing, as well as experimenting with various avenues to do so-it is sure to be an interesting, unique, and comical journey. The final month will be spent seeking balance between all 8 dimensions-if that is even possible. It all starts on October 4th, not coincidentally, Ashley’s birthday.
